Family temple or Adimakavu is an important part in the life of all keralites. Its said that one person should visit his/her adimakavu once in a year and should offer what ever a person can as 'Adima panam" I had an experience in my life whether i was jobless for allmost 8 months. I was in a situation and I felt like I dont know what do in life. My wife has suggested me to go to Chittilanchery temple which is my 'Adima kavu" I offered the money as Adima panam and came back to my home.Next day I kept thinking whom to contact for a job and i texted my maternal cousin. Needless to say the whole process of getting placed in a job was completed in 2 weeks and I got a job... So this came out as a real surprise for me and I made a promise to myself that i will never ever miss any year to go and pray in this temple.
ReplyDeleteI also share the same experience. I always feel very peaceful and calm whenever I visit this temple. I always get a sense of motherly comfort here. For any major issues whenever I prayed I received my regular pradsadam from Devi exactly just before the event assuring me that everything would be taken care of.It happened to me many times. Been visiting this temple for nearly 20 years now.The presiding Devi is our family deity.

My Family Adimakkavu is Chitlamchery kavu. Plan to visit in March. Last time I visited before 13 Years, Is there any lodges around temple to stay with family, and also If I get latest Offering list, Its also appriciated
ReplyDeleteJyothis Regency in vadakancherry is about 8 kms from the temple according to the Google maps. Rooms are good and also has saravana bhavan, vegetarian restaurant on the ground floor and Aryas vegetarian restaurant just a minutes walk from saravana bhavan.
DeleteYEs vadakkancherry would be a good option to stay. Temple will open only by 6 am in the morning and evening its 5.45 pm.So commuting to temple in morning by bus is not an issue if you don't have your won vehicle. Evening I would suggest to have your hired vehicle as number of buses would be less
DeleteYou can reach Chittilancherry Kaavu Temple for any assistance

Its our Adimakkavu also. plan to visit in May 2023
DeleteThere is no good lodging facility near to temple. SInce the temple is your "Adimakavu" I would strongly suggest or my request would be do the offering as "Adimapanam" you need to call the temple a day before going there. Tell them you need to pay the "Adimapanam" and also ask for the payasam. They will tell you the final amount which you need to pay. Go in the morning around 8 am. It would be good if you can go on a Friday. Also do a pushapanjali in the name of your closed ones - dad, mum , wife, kids etc.
ReplyDeleteThe best option to stay would be Palakkad town. From there you will get lot of buses to Chittilamcherry via Nemmara.

ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteWe are trying from last week, nobody is picking up... Could it be that the office is closed and only daily Pooja is done due to the pandemic situation? Is there any other way to confirm temple is open? If u know someone who stays closeby and confirm, it would be really helpful..
Thanks
Indu

We are from Coimbatore and or adimaikavu is bhagavati. I have been going to this kaabu from 1980s and we would reach at 8.30. my dad belongs to ayalur which is only a 10 minutes drive from the kaavu. We used to worship Shivan there and would come back to bagacathi temple. Whenever i am in trouble or happyness, I used to chant ammae narayana Devi narayana lakshmi narayana bhadrae narayana.. she is my mother.
ReplyDeleteAny Ayalur shivan temple contact with u?
DeleteToday I visited my Adimakavu after 5 years . Lots of things happened in these 5 years, out of which some were devastating events . It's always good to have frequent connect with your Adimakavu because the first god to protect you from any danger will be your Adimakavu bhagavathy . Bring your family as much as possible and get the blessings of Bhagavathy .
